I'm thinking larger tires....... pic included

So once I get the rear end butt sag taken care, get another wheel for it (one wheel is bad and am looking for another......see yotatech marketplace!!), I'm thinking a little larger tires would look good once the vehicle is sitting better.

Right now it has pretty much worn out 235/75/15's on it. Suggest a little larger size, what you think would look good?

Oh yeah, and I've already heard "lose the damn running boards", but sorry, they have to stay..........don't want to chance a stone hitting the body and chipping the paint. :-)

33x10.50s will treat that truck nicely.

Yeah some 33s, maybe 32s would be cool.
But if you go any wider than like 10.5 you will throw all sorts of crap on the paint. I have low backspacing wheels, and driving a mile after washing my rig there is a noticeable amount of junk on the side of it. Just a thought.

I would go with 31x10.50s. They look awesome, give you more clearance, and are still tolerable without regearing. I ran 31's for about a year with stock gears and it was ok as long as you don't mind slowing down a bit on hills. From reading some of your previous posts, 33's seem to be more than you need. Plus, 33's will make you want to regear.

Those alloy's have got to be my favourite factory rims of all time. They look in great shape too, hence why I'd keep the factory finish. If they were ty and all pitted, then I'd tell him to paint.

I really should just head down to the tire store and ask the guy if he'd drag out a few different sizes, since seeing them side by side I think would help a lot.

But you're right, I'm pretty easy to figure out........I like the stock, simple look, but still want it to look good.

my vote goes for the 31s. no rubbing issues, looks sweet, not a lot of power loss.

:edit: man thats a clean runner. Where did you find that thing. Keep those running boards on.

run some 31's...you're going to hate the gas mileage and power loss with 33's.

I suppose you could also consider 30x9.50, which will be just barely bigger than what you're running now.

im gonna second that. i have a 87 with 31s and i hate to say it but i like driving it more than my 85 with 33s... at least until i get my 4.88s put in!

theres also not as big of selection in 33x10.50's like there is with 30's or 31's....almost EVERYBODY makes a 30 or 31 LOL!!!

there is no sag, it just looks like the rear is lower because the rear fender is cut lower. look at your running boards to the grass line, its parallel.

I went to Texas to get it. It lived part of it's live in Washington State, then Texas. Loooonnnnnnggggggg ugly story with acquiring it, but in the end, the effort was worth it. I like the rust free part the best on the truck.

Wow, that is a huge difference in tire size!!!! I'm looking to go a little larger than the 235's that are currently on it. Almost looks like I'd need to swap in a V-8 to turn those big tires over!!
