I 16.5 6x5.5 wheels and a bunch of stuff came up..

That's like adding 5 more pounds to a 3 ton semi. Does it really matter at that point? No. Either way, the tire and rim combo is going to be heavy.

Steel rims are fine, go with 5.29's.
