You nailed it. the trade off for a good pavement tire over a mean offroading tire is what I was looking at. I was just going to do the BFG, but wanted a tire that would have better wet/snow traction on the highway.

THanks,

I would be running Revos myself too if I didn't decide a while back that I needed dedicated snow tires for winters up here.

too expensive for me man.. if i spend that much i am going to go with BF A\T's...

i still say the yoko geolander at-s' s if you want a street tire with great tread wear and still have some aggressive tread patterns

What am I missing here ? When i got my 265/75/16s, I was out the door for $550 with lifetime balance, rotate and road hazard and a $50 rebate --- I couldn't touch BFGs for that. $137 per tire for a QUALITY 32"/16" tire is a deal in my book. Timing is everything.

I love my revos and I'm about to buy another set of them. I have over 70K on mine and they still have about 3/32 of thread left. I drive mostly on road with some trips to the snow. I have been very happy with mine. I will be upgrading though to 265/75/17 this time.

I agree. My friend had Revos, and while the traction seemed fine, it couldn't compare to the BFG's (AT). I had the regular AT version, and found them to be a bit loud on the highway.

Im needing a new set of tires myself--I have been running the Mich LTX M/S and they have been good. From all the good reviews I think I may try a set of these REVO's.

I do alot of winter driving being in Alaska--so I hope these do fairly well in the snow.

I have had 3 4Runners now and the Revo's on my ex-wifes '99 were the best on wet pavement that I have ever seen. I am going to get them on my 2002 as soon as the tires I have now wear out. They are good for occasional offroading, but I would go with the BFG AT's for that. For my 2WD 2002 I am going with the Revos again. VERY smooth and sticky.

So the guy drives like an idiot and probably has a bad alignment, and yet you bag on the tires?

I've tried out LTX A/T's (not M/S) and REVO's, and I have to say that the REVO's outperform the LTX's in every category except treadwear. But any grippier tire is going to wear out faster. I've driven through snow, mud, rain, etc. and the REVO's felt solid. You won't be disappointed.

Yeah but I remember them new, they didn't look like the tread would last long anyways, but I'm a mudder and those thing sucked. What I mean is that AT Revos don't deserve to be called All Terrains. Any other company's will outdo that tire any day, I would go with the BFG's or the Procomp instead.

going 265-75-16's then guess what guys, I am done modding....

$148 w mount and life balance sound good?

I have some with about 85% or more tread, but I just got some 33"s so I'll be removing the revos if you want them.
I like the tire. I never even chirped a tire while up in sedona last weekend. I was surprised since every pink jeep or other offroader around was spinning tires. They are 265/75/16 load range c.

I managed to get 35K out of a set of Revos on my F150. They really held the road well. I also liked them in snow. Properly rotated on a lighter vehicle, you'll certainly get 40K out of them.

I replaced them with Toyo A/T's. My father had a set on his 98 Taco, and loved them. Not as aggressive as the BFG's, but otherwise a great tire.
