I would like to get a more aggresive looking tire for my 91' 4Runner, although I mostly drive highway/city. I'm thinking of either the BFG All terrains or BFG Mud Terrains.

Any opinions on both, likes, dislikes???

mud terrains are loud (i can't hear my engine or radio over them) they work great in the mud though.....

the all terrains were much quieter and the off road performance is pretty well too.....

I'm waiting on the KM2's. I can't wait to get a set of those on my truck.

I run the AT's right now. I'm happy with them, but they don't have the best offroad traction. They are good, but not great. I'm looking for more.

The AT's are a pretty agressive looking tire, and will be better on road for you.

Mostly on the street, it would mostly be for looks and just in case I go off road.

i have ran both th AT and MT and I like the AT cuz it last longer drives better on the highway and still is great in the mud/smow but if you are in to hardcore mud the MT is perfect for both

The AT's are a pretty tough looking tire also, probably one of the best looking at's in my opinion.

Yeah, the BFG MTs are very loud and make for a rough ride. They have stiff sidewalls and absolutely no siping to help with snow/ice (which shouldn't matter where you're located).

If you want the aggressive look of a mud terrain with a much more comfortable/quiet ride, get the TrXus MTs. They're much quieter, softer, and comparably priced to the BFG A/Ts.

You'll get probably the most even and longest wear from the A/Ts, although there are other tire options in the price range that may even be better for your situation: Nitto Terragrappler, ProComp A/T are both good all around.

That TrXus MT looks great, they're cheaper then the BFG's. I've heard a lot of people say that swampers wear faster.

I only wheel sometimes, but I still opted for the M/T's, and I'm glad I did. They're a great tire. They're not any louder than my old crappy A/T's.

ATs;
-Quiet, well mannered
-Excellent wear
-Good appearance on nice rims
-Reasonable off-road traction
-Good behavior in snow/slush

^^ Standard reply to that question. Your in AZ, so the snow factor is nil. I don't think you'll go wrong with either tire, but if it's truly 90% street then the AT is the tire designed for you.

u want a quiet mud terrain, go with the cooper stt. i have that on my dd and i can barely hear the hum on the highway. reallly freakin quiet tire, and looks real aggressive too.

BFG M/T's arent nearly as loud as MT/R's...
If you cant hear your stereo over them, UPGRADE YOUR STEREO... i cant hear my tires with my stereo up....
They look killer.
Mine needed absolutely ZERO balancing weights and are smooth up to 100mph (never gone faster).
Also i've done 20,000miles on them and they still look like new.

I picked up a set of used MT's for my pickup and I'll echo the other sentiments that they are loud. Going on a 6 hour road trip next month and I'll be putting on some street tires for that purpose. My head can only take so much...

I love my BFG M/Ts 33x10.5x15, I aired them down to 12psi this weekend and crawled everything. No slipping at all. Plus they are not that audible on my 4runner.

For you the A/T's since you just wanna look cool and nor have to sacrifice on-road capabilities. Isn't that what "All-Terrains" are all about?

I run the Nokian Vativas, and I like them alot. I cant compare to any MT as I have never used them but off road they work pretty good, havent been stuck in the mud or anything like that. On the highway they are quiet and last a really long time in terms or wear.

I've had both. And liked them both. M/T arent as loud as people like to say they are. Both lasted a long time.

If i was looking for tires for my DD it would be the BFG A/T even though i do take it offroad once in a while.
