Backspacing help

Backspacing help
Hey guys and gals,
I have an 86 xtracab 4wd with Tacoma starfish rims. Not sure of the backspace on them, but there is a set of 2011 Tacoma rims that I've found with a backspace of 5.5. Do I need to buy spacers with them?
