American Racing Wheels Specifications; Wrong?
#1
Guys... This is my second Tacoma and I have never done any modification to my previous truck. Now that I am looking for a set of wheels I came across the American Racing Wheels website.
In my opinion, the specifications written on the site is not correct;
16x8 with 0 offset and Backspace 4.5"???
That is physically impossible. Shouldn't the ET=0mm on 8" width be 4" backspace???

Yup. Youd think.
Maybe they measure the offset from the inside of the bead, and the backspacing to the outside of the rim?
In any case, backspacing is all that matters.

Ok is the correct set of numbers for newer trucks
16 x 8,9 etc
0 degree offset
4.5 inch backspacing
I dont like the tires sticking out past the body lines, like you see on some jeeps with bigger tires.
I want to go to the black rims one day and like the tire fit as they are now with the stock wheels

Depends on what size tires. For example you won't get 33x12.50s inside the fenderwells no matter what rim you use.
I think it's 15x7 and 16x7 with 4.5" backspacing.
