alum wheels vs. beadlocks

alum wheels vs. beadlocks
not really a question just more of a chating thing. so i've run alum wheels on my km2's for over a year, done everything from huge river rock crawling at under 10 psi to deep snow runs running about 2 psi, never blown a bead. so what's the point of spending way more money on beadlocks?

seems to me you are getting lucky. I would eventually like to take my old 8" wide wheels and put a set of DIY beadlocks on it. I have blown beads at 8-10 PSI coming down on a rock.
comes down to personal preference I suppose

i don't think so. i go with people that have been wheeling for 10 years plus, (they drive jeeps so they're like 5k for weight) they all run just alum wheels and have sliced more tired then we have blown off beads.
