You can get remote starts for manuals as well....just make sure its in neutral every time you wanna start it or what ever is in front of you will be

Go outside and make a proper snow shelter. Take it from me, an eagle scout, that you will actually be warmer.

Coleman makes tent warmers, propane with cat. converters on them. I've used them many times they claim no CO but I always crack open windows at oppisite ends of the tent. Don't wear your clothes to bed, strip down to long undies or what ever and sleep with clothes in bag, so their toasty don't sleep in your boots either. Be careful with Fido, as he may be more sensitive than you. Get something to raise you off the ground ie Air mattress, I don't like cots. Don't breath into you bag through the night, moist breath condensates to wet camper in morning. I've camped in freezing temps before and at times with the barest of equipment, plan on camping in the snow this year with the family

I have a full size 8" thick futon pad in the back of my 3rd gen. Fits perfect, and it's extremely comfortable. If you don't need a bunch of cargo room, it's a great idea. I have two cheap Coleman sleeping bags that I double up. Crawl in, turn the truck on for a bit to warm it up and I'm very toasty all night.

Just went camping Sat. night near Pikes Peak. Probably got down to 15°-ish, and I was fine all night, wearing just sweats and a hoodie.
