93' 4runner with 4.3v6 th400 &np208

Ok so i'm pretty new to the toyota scene but have done plenty of swaps in chevys. I have a 93' 4runner with the 3.0 v6 5speed (r151 i guess) and i have no idea what t/c? I just picked up a th400 np208 combo out of a 90' suburban and i'm picking up my 4.3 v6 that's out of a 94' chevy pickup. This rig is gonna be a street machine for now and later hopefully build it up for offroad use. My plan is to have this swap up and running by christmas. I'm gonna put a carb and hei on it for simplicity of getting the swap done easier, i figure i can always do fuel injection later. So if anybody has done this exact combo or very similar combo(th350 np208) any hints or info you can give me would be great! I''m thinking of getting a 2" bodylift for it and a clocking ring for the t/c also as these 2 mods should both be easier to do with the drivetrain out of the rig and will make this swap a lil bit easier. I will try to document my build with plenty of pics and what i learn as i go. Hopefully will get the tranny and transfer case removed this weekend and with a bit of luck the motor 2! Thanks in advance guys!

A few things i forgot... Planning on using an Advanced Adapters engine mount kit. Who has used one of these and were you happy with it? Also want to use the stock exhaust manifolds and a jegs starter. Probably gonna use a GM 1 wire 100amp alt too. Not too sure what to do about the power steering but i'm planning on use the stock one and hopefully the brackets won't be to bad to fab up or maybe even just modify the toyota ones to the 4.3. Also plan on using the stock radiator and fuel pump, i seen on here a few other guys were using there stock ones. There will be plenty of other stuff i know but i will tackle them when i come to them. Hopefully its not raining tonight after work, i wanna get that tranny and t/c pulled!

Hey bro, i have a 700r4 and a 208 in my 87 4 runner with no body lift. I have a few pictures while i was building it i can post. I did'nt do a build tread, so i don't have a ton of pics. I did use a clocking ring in the middle position which put the t case about in the same position as the stock t case.

Yeah that would be cool! Thanks man! Planning on dropping the motor in on tuesday. Got the new motor mounts and flexplate on it last night. I think i'm gonna put the motor and tranny in as one peice then put the transfer case in from the bottom.

Had a small setback, had the wrong flexplate for the torque converter. Got the new one on and the tranny and torque converter bolted up. Cutting the old motor mounts off tonight and hopefully dropping the motor in tonight for test fitting.

I put the tranny on a jack then dropped the motor in, then bolted the t case up. Seemed to work well.

Thanks for the pics man! I still have the ifs in mine. I did get the motor mounts welded in and the crossmember modified and welded up. The motor, tranny, and t/c are in and bolted up 2. Pulled the gas tank so i could modify the crossmember for clearance for the driveline. Also started building my headers. Also got the distributor in, had to adjust the firewall a bit.
