I agree. My 83 K5 blazer had a 350 with th400, 3/4 axels with 4.11's and I ran 35s , 36's and then 38's with no problems.

Tire diameters are off. Drag cars use 28" or less diameter tires. Unless its a really expensive machine. My Chevelle had 28's and my current Hemi car has 24".

Can you borrow a set of 35" or larger tires from someone?

Yeah I'm in the boat with the rest of the guys saying your gearing is to low. Get your hands on some 4.10's (Should be able to source them fairly easily) and you will be laughing all the way to the trail!

So was it your gears being too low? Seriously switch to 4.10s or even 3.73s.

5.29s and small tires combined with a 4k rpm limit and I could see only doing 50....
