Wiring the cpi was easy. I used a painless harness for $300 You could use a stock harness and get rid of any wire that doesnt plug in to the motor. Everything just plugs into the stock sensors and the computer. Then you need find a few wires , brake light, key on/off , fuel pump. You need to buy a factory toyota wiring manual. Mine was about $40.00 on ebay. Most all the wires come out of two plugs on passenger side kick panel. You need the manual to tell you witch one's go where. Yes all my gauges work like stock. I drilled and tapped for a toyota temp sensor in the intake and ran a wire to the kick panel. For the oil pressure i added a "tee" fitting and used the stock chevy "for the computer" and a toyota one for the gauge and wired it to the kick panel. For the tach i used the factory tach wire for the chevy and ran it to the kick panel. I plan on doing a write up soon . But the same would could be done for any engine swap.
