okay so what out of all the toyota diesel motors would be the best for swapping into a first gen 4runner that will run anywhere from 35-40s

i have heard alot about the 13bt engine but reading on here people are saying a 1kz-t is a good motor to swap i would like to run an auto transmission behind it as well

if you are gonna go with a toyota diesel then you should go poke around on hiluxsurf.co.uk and you should find everything you need about any yota diesel. thats where i go for any info i need on my surf. all i know is stay away from 2.4L motors. they have head problems. i wish i knew this when i bought my surf, but live and learn. i did end up getting a 3.0L 93 surf that got rolled for 900.00 and the motor looks brand new. i do not know if it runs yet but the surf came with factory recaros,and spare drivetrain so who cares. good luck.
