1st cool write up !
how are you getting 20psi boost?
I got a call into 4x4 labs foe an adapter
looking for a good running 300sd, want to pump up the noost before I swap motor
on your swap, do you need a fuel pump or is this like a toy diesel where the pump on motor does it all?
just researching this motor, & seems far better then a 2l or 1kz
parts everywhere
cars everywhere
might be most reliable diesel in the world too
any advice on what to look for when I look at a car, they rattle so much how do you know nothing is wrong? lol

I am getting 20psi of boost from a mechanical boost controller. and the injection pump has a mechanical lift pump on it to suck from the tank.

With the increased boost is it faster/more powerful? I running the stock setup at about 9lb of boost 10 if i push it. I also cane blow black smoke like you can i guess my pump was set up differently.

what did you do to destory the g52? That's what I have, and i just got a brand new center force clutch, so I'd like to keep it. Otherwise I'll pry swap in my nv4500 i have sitting here, unless i find a cheap R151F

Black smoke doesn't mean more power, it means you are adding too much fuel for the amount of air that is going in. if you up the boost a little, you will get less black smoke. optimum setup on a diesel is to get a little haze out of the pipe at WOT.

and in reference to your signature, if you are going to do the benz diesel, don't do 5.29s. im already overgeared with my 3.9s and looking into options in the 3.5 territory

Great news on the rig!
Far as my stuff; Nah, that's ok, ...(thanks for the comment though! ) ..... it's always too much to read through for most, hahhaa... But just the basics, ....running GREAT! Funny, especially considering that I built this myself and the 40yr exper. guy who did my last one didn't last me a year without taking up 300 hours of chasing my tail and eventually.... well, obviously, .... A 'REBUILDING THE REBUILD'! lol.
Only problem is,............. not too happy with the mileage in town. HWY is OK, ..... bout 19-21 on average. But in town? Yeah, not so much! lol.
Got my spare set of MT's for wheeling on 15x8 outlaw 2's... great deal, too. Other than that, just as you know...the "SEAT CHRONICLES!" hahahaha.

ya what tires are you running with 3.9 gears?? according to everyone else you would want 5.29's with 37's to get it up around 3000 rpm at highway. I have 4.10's right now

Since i put my radiator in the bed, i trimmed the crap out of the front rad support and used the stock benz one. the yota pressure line works perfectly and the return line already had barbed fittings on it so i could cut the length of hose i needed.

well i ran my axle code just last week to find out i have 3.9s and I have 15X8 Cragar Soft 8s with Maxxis Bighorn 32x11.50x15. got rears up front with sky's boomerang shackles (very nice by the way) axle moved forward about 2" because of that, custom yota pack on the rear, rancho's, and custom length driveshafts. it wheels amazingly. i have only HAD to put it in low once for a nasty hill climb and i'm still open front and rear since it's my DD

with 32's i would think you would technically want 4.56 gears. I guess I'll try 35's with 4.10's and see how it is before I buy 5.29's for sure. I'll let you know. And i record my mileage religiously at every fill up so I'll be posting that info on here as well, since mpg numbers are the hardest thing to find when it comes to this swap
