Hey guys, so here's what I've been contemplating:

I was first thinking of doing a 1JZGTE swap into my '94 PU, but then started reconsidering for cost reasons. My intentions are to build the truck up for autocross races in the spring. Now, my friend has a '88 Corolla GT-S (the AE86), and I do understand that the 4A-GE is a much more versatile engine all around, but I noticed one thing about both our motors, mine being a 22RE, and that was that they are both incredibly gutless. However, what his car has going for it, is its tranny, or at least its gearing. So that got me thinking: what tranny could I possibly swap to the 22RE, if any at all? Any ideas?
