GTS Engine

Has anyone attempted to put a 1.8 GTS engine out of a celica into an early 90's yota pick up? If so, how much of a nightmare was it?

Your post does not make a lot of sense. I think somehow a thought got started and a second thought ended without the end of the first or the start of the second. Was the question has anyone tried to put a gts engine into an early 90s pickup by chance?

are you asking about the 2ZZ-GE in the Celica GT-S? if so that would be a horrible swap. the 2ZZ has bsolutly no torque! you need to be in the 6000 RPM + range for any kind of power. the 2ZZ does take to boost very will if your tuning is good. IF i were to swap in a celica engine it would be a 3S-GTE out of the Celica ST205. 250HP out of the box and water intercooled.
