VACUUM Cruise Control on 3.4?????

Obviously I swaped in a 3.4 into my 88 auto. My 88 has the vacuum cruise and not the electric. Has anyone gotten this to work??? Mine kinda works. Im not sure where to pull the vacuum from. I tried the two ports on the throttlebody. I think I need something stronger because it only works under certian throttle conditions and even then it starts accelerating on its own. On the 3.4 it came of an evap port from the intake.

Did you ever get this working? My cruise seems to try to work but doesn't hold speed. I, like you, think it needs a stronger vacuum.

I know that Dan (BAMF CT2004) sold his rig so not sure if you will get a response here, he does still hang out on mud with the same screen name though.

Ok. Well I'll continue this thread as the title fits quite well!

First off, I've seen people notice there doesnt appear to be enough vacuum to operate the actuator. This is true, unless the electric vacuum pump is running, which is just under the actuator. So, if this is not running or there is not enough vacuum, then either there is an electrical problem or the cruise is not being activated by the control unit.

I'm going to be spending some time over the next week trying to figure out what the issue is here and see if we can get it running correctly.

Once again as with the A/C, non of the wires for the cruise should have been disturbed except for the ones going to the ecu. As there are only 2 or 3 of these, fixing this issue shouldnt be too difficult.

Vacuum Cruise Control w/ 3.4

I know this is an old thread but I can't seem to find the information anywhere. I haven't tried to hook my 3.0 cruise control back up yet but heard that the ADD lines are what you want to use. They are in a good location to connect too but does anyone know which to connect to? The blue or the red?
