trd passenger drop headers on 3.4 in 90 p/u

this is probably not the best place to ask this question but would anyone happen to know if the ted headers for the 3.4 will fit in my truck. i know i had to do a driver drop with the manifolds to avoid something, not sure what. and i was wondering if the headers would fit my truck because of this obstacle?

I'll let you know what I run in to. Probably just the fuel line, brake line and clutch lines.... But I can move those around. So we'll see.

do headers make a huge difference when supercharging? and does anyone make a header that will fit. i have a 3inch body lift, would this help the scenario anyhow?

Look for some downey or NWOR headers, make a custom y-pipe. Doubt the TRD's / thorleys will fit...

I "believe" mine are the downey headers and they're close on the clutch slave! Close enough that I wrapped them as best I could with header wrap to try and keep the rubber boot and slave alive in general. I have a 3" body lift and my bigger issue actually was on the driver side where the steering shaft wanted to go right thru the headers. A torch and a hammer fixed that though! LOL

Really bad picture, it's all I have...

Here's my header clearance on the shaft though... I'm on solid motor mounts so I don't have to worry about it moving at least.

This is what I did for slave clearance, it worked for stock exhaust clearance.

Its a pull slave cylinder for transaxle buggies.

That is a great idea! Thanks! I'll look into that
Can you take a pic of the bracket that's holding it in place pls.

Interested in this as well. Can you post up more info/pictures? maybe a link to what this is and where you would get it.

CNC is the brand. http://www.mooreparts.com/store/product/2249/CNC300B/

I welded a tab on the back side of the release fork and made a bracket that bolts up to the transmission.

This is the only other picture I have right now.

This worked but with 4x4, space was razor thin, Ive since swapped the exhuast to the driver side.

ok so basically, would any of you recommend doing headers? it looks like a lot of work, and a big maybe. besides, finding downey headers are difficult.

I put the headers on yesterday(thorely) and things will have to be modified.

-Header is 1/4" from starter
-Flange will have to be remounted to face away from chasis
-collector looks like it might be hitting the chasis.
-slave cylinder and fork is hitting the collector

I'm going to try and make it work but if Trail gear comes out with a header soon that is similar to Downey's then I will probably get that one.....

why would you get trail gears? are they suppose to be building them for the swap? or because they will be cheaper?

They are currently working on a header system for the 3.4 should and be out in about 30-90 days. They didn't give any specific type of design but kinda hinted it would be long tubes similar to Downeys

badass. long tubes do not use a crossover pipe over the transmission correct? and which is better for bottom end? or does it not really matter with a s/c?

Bottom end i believe and no crossover above but below the trans if you kept it as a single exhaust. I can't comment on the s/c since I haven't really done any research on one other that how much they cost haha

Long tube's will give you power throughout the range.
