Tofers 3.4 swap buildup

Alright, as i've mentioned i've been working on a lil supprise. well it is finally all put together! I am renting a 12x30 shop, i've picked up a 97 4runner with 156k on the clock. it was a quick roll over and landed on its feet. the motor runs just fine. it looks like i'll be able to sell at least 2 if not 3 door, the hood, and the interior parts. However, I'm thinking of swaping the dash and center console into my 2nd gen. heres some pics.

no elocker

starting making money already!!!!

pile of stuff for sale!

so.... I have alot of 3rd gen parts for sale. let me know what you need! i'll start a different thread though.

I think that could really complicate the swap (the dash swap part, not the console swap).

Good luck with your swap Chris and have fun!

I'm hoping that i can come close. I only paid 1500 for the whole truck. so with trailer rental, gas to drive to portland and pick it up, and this months shop rental/deposit i'm only into it 2000. I still need to buy the ORS kit and the 5sp ecu and harness.

Body panels and dashes are overrated.

Dang that thing is RED! Sure it didnt get rammed by a crazed bull?

If you are renting shop space you wont make money doing the swap but someone will.

Good luck!

He'll make his rent space just about free if he can sell those parts

Looks good. I would swap all you can from the 3.4 4runner the dash maybe tricky but Im sure posible and as for the gauge cluster and ignition that would be an awesome and easier way to go. Just hardwire the fan and radio stuff which wont be hard at all and youll have a one of a kind badass swap and the wiring work would be extreamly easy.

Ill have to stop by soon. I may be at Mt. Hood but not sure yet.

Dude, I can save you a bunch of cash.

Build a cage. Put the seats back in. Tube doors. There, you have a "better than a Jeep JK" Toyota JK!

FYI: It's possible to swap the dash into yours.

Check out what this guy did. 94 truck with a Tacoma dash.

wow that looks real good.

UPDATE:
this weekend i was able to get rid of the 97 frame and body. we pulled my 4runner over to the shop. i need to sell some more parts before i can get the ORS kit. this is quite possibly the slowest 3.4 swap in history.
