Throttle Body

Hey yall i was curious if the throttle bodies are interchangeable as long as the cruise control one is manual transmission. I am having a hard time finding a manual trans no cruise throttle body and wasnt sure if i could use one with cruise. Also does anybody maybe have one lying around?

I'm using a TB that has cruise. I just didn't hook it up. I took the cable mounting bracket off. (Two empty holes above linkage) I also cut the bracket that holds the throttle cable down for hood clearance. The part I cut off may have been for an auto trans cable? Maybe auto and manual trans throttle bodies are the same?

Cool that's comforting to hear. I've got a 3 inch lift so hopefully I won't have to cut anything like you did

So are you saying your throttle body is automatic? Also I noticed your pickup is an 89, there anyway I could get your ewd? I'm having a tough time finding any of the C2 pinouts.

TB is from a 99 4Runner with 5 speed manual trans. I'm saying "MAYBE" same as auto. It has hook up for throttle cable, cruise cable and there was a bracket and a place to hook another cable I didn't have. I thought maybe it was for a cable to an auto trans.

I got my 99 EWD's used on eBay and a 88 FSM used on Amazon.

You can use a cruise control TB without the cruise control cable hooked up, no problems there (that's the setup I have).

As for M/T vs A/T TBs, assuming they're from the same year the only difference is that the M/Ts have a dashpot to keep the throttle from slamming shut when you let off the gas.
