Swap oil dipstick reading

97 3.4 just swapped in. It calls for 6 quarts of oil yet, my oil reading shows over filled. Is this normal or should I just keep it at the fill mark?

I run 5 1/2 in my 92

Seems to hold steady That is also what I run in the 2000 Tacoma.

Just how much over full does it read!!??

I put 5 1/2 in mine too. I follow my dipstick reading.
