I can also confirm that '88 3.0 stiffener plates are identical casting to '97 T100 3.4 versions. Part number and all. They first get bolted loosly to the block then attach the bellhousing bolts. Then go back and tighten the block connections after the trans and motor are all tightened up. IIRC the A/C bracket has no contact with the passenger side stiffner.

On another note. depending on what year 3.0 motor mounts you are using, you might have to alter the pass side motor mount to accomodate the AC bracket.
