Should I go for this? transmission from 3.4 Donor truck

I can buy the complete transmission that came from the donor vehicle that supplied my engine. Should I do it? What are the benefits to doing it? How would I get my mechanical speedo to work? I didnt cut off any plugs from the 3.4 harness that go to the transmission so this would be a simple plug and play and I could also remove the old plugs from the 3.0 harness and tidy up the wiring somewhat.
As my 340H is already out awaiting a 340F torque converter, what do you say?

Buy 3.4 torque converter for use with 3.0 tranny for $155 recon, or $300 for complete 3.4 tranny with torque converter that was originally mated to my donor engine?
