Hi, just got my 3.4 swap running and now I have a loud rattle from my transmission. I have a 3.4 clutch assembly with a 3.0 throw out bearing and a 3.0 pilot bearing all brand new. When truck is running and in neutral it has a slight vibration and a loud rattling sound. Anyone had this happen to them before ? looking for any help. thanks

 

does it go away when you put slight pressure on the clutch pedal?
if so, likely the TO bearing.
is it new OEM? aftermarket bearings suck

 

Not sure but never heard of anyone running a 3.0 pilot bearing. Maybe that's it??

 

I ran a 3.0 pilot bearing in my swap. Bought an entire clutch kit for a 3.0, no issues with it.

 

was this happening before the swap? same transmission?

 

allt he pilot bearings are the same from what i understand. TO bearings are different lengths. 3.0 and 22re are same, 3.4 TO is much longer
