question on fuel pumps and wiring

so Im getting ready to start my 3.4 swap here in a couple weeks, I've asked a few people around my home town and im getting different answers on my fuel pump. my friends say you have to use the 3.4 gas tank and pump b/c the fuel pressure specs are different., and other people are telling me i can use my fuel pump. so what do i use the 3.4 pump and filter or my 3.0 fuel pump and filter.
Also does anyone know where to get the wiring re done besides toy. only swap. my buddy that works at an electrical shop told me he could help me out but would need to know what to wire in to the 3.4 harness and how long to make the wires. so any and all tips are appreciated.

You don't need to change the tank, pump, or filter from you have in your 3.0 setup.

If your buddy is competent at wiring, he should be able to figure it fairly easy. Read the wiring sticky, or have him. If he is still lost, find someone else.

I'd say stay with all the 3.0 fuel supply unless you're adding the supercharger, then change the pump to a Walbro 190 and maybe upgrade the pump wiring to a little bigger gauge via a relay. Use the existing wiring to trigger your relay. But this is only if you supercharge the 5VZ. The filters look the same to me with both 3vz and 5vz.
