No Power AT ALL

Hey guys. finally got everything hooked up on the swap today. Hooked up the battery (to what i think is correct) and they only thing that seems to be working is the door buzzer and high beams. when i put the ground wire onto the battery the wipers went on for a bit but I cant get them to go now. The alternator has no power going to it according to my tester. but i tested my IG2 on my harness and its getting power. so is the COR as well as the OBD2. I have no idea why the alternator isnt getting power and the ignition wont even crank as well. I was able to check the fuses in the box but not the 40a or 80a not sure how to do that. I have a single pin notch on my alternator wire that is getting power. but nothing else is. Any help would rock

Have you verified all your grounds? There should be one large ground that goes to the block under your oil filter as well as one off of the back passenger side of the block that goes to your firewall which is like 14ga or something then you should have another ground that comes off of the fuel injector harness that grounds to the upper intake manifold on the driver side.

Actually no, i did notice the one on the back of the passenger side. but wasnt sure where it pluged to. The only things i have grounded is my batter to my body and block as well as the ground for OBD2. But is there pictures somewhere so i can put a image to what youre saying?

Uhhhh it's too dark out for a pic. If that one ground your talking about is the one with the connector that goes kinda behind the motor and bolts to the firewall that should just plug into the same looking wire with a connector on it that bolts to the back of the motor. Just connect the two.

I just had the same problem today firing mine up and it was a ground!! Had me stumped for a while because I got about half a crank out of the starter before everything ˟˟˟˟ off. First thought was I just blew the main relay. After some quick tests it was a ground cone toon at the battery.

When it's light enough think you can? My ground in the back passenger side isn't a plug in type just a circle ground. Van I just screw it to the body?

I will see if i can get you pics of all the grounds i am referring to, tonight at like 6pm. Ya those grounds that are near the diagnosis plug. and that is interesting about the ground under your oil filter. I wouldn't go putting holes in your firewall just yet. I will try and get pics tonight

1st pic: That blue connector im pretty sure is for a vacuum switching valve (VSV) or something.....how long is that harness? Cause the black connector your holding may be for your Cruise Control (CC) and the shortest black one looks like a 3-pin???? also, the ground by the diagnosis plug is grounded, i can see it in the pic

2nd pic: the gray connector I THINK is for A/C. and that black connector......shoot heck if i know without lookin at my rig haha. but look around and look for anything that it may go to (if you haven't already of course)

and while your out and about taking pics, might as well snap one of the back side where that ground is that only has a round terminal on the end of it.

also it may be helpful to snap one of the side of the block around/near/below the oil filter

No idea on the other 2 in the second picture.

Edit: Austin beat me to it

Uhhh I have no idea man about the IGN only getting power :-/ SacRunner is a great person to have reading this thread cause he know's alot more then i do lol. It looks like that is the ground wire that is under your oil filter, it just has a rubber boot covering the contact points (wish i had that boot)

Thanks, I thought that's what it might be. You have any idea why my inside fuse box might only be getting power to ign?
