Ok, I will check those two out tonight. I have moved the valve both directions and it doesnt seem to effect it much at all. Kinda weird, it should raise the vent temps when open shouldnt it?

Yes, opening the valve should raise the vent temperature quite a bit. If it doesn't affect it much, it could be stuck partially open.

I guess I am probably going to have to bite the bullet and let someone who knows more about A/C than myself look at it. I made sure the valve was closed. Sprayed water on condensor, no change in temps. Felt the lines, the low side was normal, high side was hot. Still only blowing about 70* at vents (ambient is 100*). Im not sure what else is left?

Was there oil added to the system before recharging? If so, how much?

Too much oil can affect the efficiency of cooling. Overcharge or undercharged amounts of refrigerant can also affect the efficiency.

Yes, I added some oil when I put the compressor on. I dont remember exactly how much but I think it was like 3 or 4 ounces?

I'm still leaning toward my suggestion that the heater valve is partially stuck open somehow. Everything about your AC sounds fine. You should have cold air. Any way you could have hooked up a heater hose the wrong way?

Its possible the heater hoses are the wrong way. What effect would that have on the engine, because other than the A/C everything runs perfectly. Driveability is fine. Does anyone perhaps have pictures of how the 3.4 heater hoses go? I searched but couldnt find any clear pictures.
