My poor 4 Runner is fried !
Some wires got turned into filaments last night. I'll post it when I find out what happened.

So far the large wire from the alt,goes in the cab and back out to the cond. fan is melted. Thats pretty much the whole harness. We can find no cause.YET. Lots of other little wires are melted too.

I found four new harnesses (cowl wire)but idk which one I need.No PN on the old one.

That sucks. I'd hate to have to put a new harness in. Sounds like there were a lack of proper fuses?

The fusible link didn't fry. Gonna try to fix it,but aint having much luck.

89-90 4runner or pick up,4 cyl or V6,Manual trans SR5,2 or 4 door. Dash wiring harness,Toyota calls it the "cowl wire".

I might have those for a 92 4 runner, 3.0 auto.

How did the alternator fare? Any other signs of a short or bad device? pics?

I think the yellow cond. fan wire got pounded under the air filter,but dont know for sure.92 wont work.
