misfire

misfire

when i drive the truck for awhile it seems like its misfireing, would a bad or non adjusted tps cause this?

Yes, But so cany many other sensors and electrical components on the truck.
Check your grounds in your engine bay first..
Then pull codes..

yeah i double checked me tps sensor it wasnt tight, i still need to adjust it, and ill have to get the obd plug hooked up, then pull the codes and check the grounds

still doing it, this is what happens, i start the truck, runs fine drive to the gas station turn it off, get a beverage hop back in start it up MISS runs like crap, start driving home a few miles done the road it clears up. this happens when i turn it off and restart it any sugestions?

had the truck scaned today, cylinder 6 misfire. thats all the codes. does any one know how many ohms the coil, injector, and spark plug wire are suppose to be?

for anyone that has a misfire i suggest checking the injectors, my number 6 injectors was bad/clogged, i took it out ran cleaner through it and blew it out with compressed air backwards and forward while cycling it on and off with a switch hooked to power. so far truck runs great

Looks like you don't need it anymore, but the injector resistance should be 13.8 Ohms and the spark plug wires should not be above 25 K Ohms per cord according to Alldatapro.com for a 5vz-fe.

Forgot about the ignition coils...

Primary Coil
Cold: 0.67-1.05 Ohms
Hot: 0.85-1.23 Ohms

Secondary Coil
Cold: 9.3-16.0 K Ohms
Hot: 11.7-18.8 K Ohms
