lower belt housing shield
hey guys I just got my motor dropped in and connected to the belt housing but notice that the lower portion that showed a decent amount of the flywheel in the innards of the belt housing I was curious if there's a shield or something that was supposed to go there and if any of you guys had a link to one possibly thanks

I don't think my 3.0 actually came with one when I bought it the engine has already been rebuilt so I think they just lost a forgot to put it back on. but I should use the one for the 3.0 if I have to get another one you're saying?

And just so that I'm understanding correctly, you swapped a different 3.0L into your truck (before doing the 3.4 swap) and when you re-attached the transmission you didn't reinstall that plate? You have been driving around with the bottom part of your flywheel (m/t) or flex plate (a/t) exposed to the world?
Was your truck originally a 3.0 or a 22RE?

I'm about 90% sure they're the same part for the 3.0 vs 3.4, but I could be wrong; that part from my 91 M/T was identical to the one from the 97 A/T donor.
