It's ALIVE!
As of 8:30 pm it starts! Runs like a bag of poo mind you, but it started up first turn of the key! Huge thanks to Screamer76 and HRDTED for your help - I literally could not have figured it out without your input. Props to Yotatech for inspiring me to attempt this. I am now going to pull some codes and find out why she runs so rough.

How do I pull DTC's? Do I need an OBDII communication port and reader or can I just jump pins in the Diagnostic port in the engine bay and watch the CEL flash? My brain hurts.

congratulations!
any engine manufactured in or after 96 is obd2 compliant.
yes, you need to have the obd2 port hooked up to read the codes.
good luck. i hope it isn't anything too serious or hard to figure out.

I thought I would post this here, not start a new thread... with work being so busy I haven't had alot of time to check things out but... It will start every time but runs very rough. I have looked over (and over) my wire connections and I am pretty confident. The funny thing I noticed today when I got home and dove into things is it will start with the MAF disconnected and actually run rather smooth? Does this tell me anything? I would assume the computer is ignoring all sensor inputs at this time and is running off set parameters. I haven't had a chance to get to a wrecker and get a OBD port so I can't pull codes yet, maybe tomorrow. If it helps I did a leak down test on the motor before installation and everything checked out good.
Anyone? Buller?
