Question IH2 wiring confusion *PLEASE HELP*

I've tried to figure this out over and over again but it doesn't make sense. I'm hoping that somebody can help me with this. I've got my truck running and don't have any major issues except I can't complete the wiring because I can't figure this out. I have a 90 4runner but the darn IH2 connector (white connector to in the passenger side kick panel) is from a 91. However the wiring does not match up with the EWDs some of them are the same colors and I've figured out some of it but there are too many wires I can't figure out.

This is the 90 IH2 connector (not the one I have but should)

But this is the connector I have.

The wires are as follows (I know these are what I have for sure from the other side of the connector):

1 = Pink (no idea?)
2 = Red/Orange (no idea?)
3 = x
4 = x
5 = Blue (again not sure)
6 = Black/Red (AC Amplifier to A/C pin on ECM)
7 = Red/Black
8 = *I missed this one when I wrote them down but I'll look it up and correct the post*
9 = Black/Orange
10 = Green/Yellow (this could be the ADD relay activation?)
11 = Yellow/Blue
12 = Violet/Green
13 = x
14 = Yellow/Green
15 = Black/White (AC Amplifier to ACV pin on ECM)
16 = Green/White
17 = Green/ Yellow (I thought this was the ADD, but isn't)
18 = Green/Orange
19 = x
20 = Black (Tach!)

I really need help figuring this out. All the other wiring on both the IH1 connector and the 3.4 harness are labeled and correct but the damn IH2 is driving me crazy.

Happy Holidays!

Not much help here, but there are differences with wiring and connectors on earlier trucks & 4Runners, and the EWDs in the FSM are not entirely accurate for them either. When ORS was making my harness Mike asked if I could send them pictures of my connectors and told me the above. While doing other wiring projects on my truck I found the same issues.

Wondering If I can still get a hold of Mike and pick his brain about this? I know ORS is closing shop but I bet he still can be reached. Maybe I'll try that today.

my 2000 tacoma engine wiring harness had a dash plug(ik2) from a 2001 tacoma. what i figured out was i had to follow the 01 ewd for pin#, and the 00 ewd for wire color. i remember very well the feeling of horror when i realized that there was a problem, but it ended up being relatively easy to work around. also, some wires change color from one side of the plug to the other. hope this helps.

Thanks for the information. I just got off the phone with one of your co-workers and I am hoping you can help me figure a couple of these wires out. I've go it close but not quite right. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks for the update. Some of the color codes don't match but most of the ones that do I had already figured out. I'l study this more and check it against my notes and the harness itself. I'm sure I'm going to have a few mre questions for you.

I am positive that position 2 is Red and Orange but on the 91 position 2 is the ADD activation and is Green/Yellow. Does this change colors between the connector? As far as I can tell from both EWDs it doesn't. So it must be position 10 right. I'm going to cross reference your list to mine and go with the wiring colors no the pin positions. That seems lie the most logical thing to do.

Based on his 9 posts he hadn't found the Yota Techs yet

You got all your wiring done didn't you? Was it manual or AT?

Welcome to yotatech trebor. Yes on the 3.4 engines the plugs are IK2 and IK6 that get sliced to IH1 and IH2 on the 3.0 body plugs. Good for on the purchases, you will be having loads of fun here with this project.

Toyota's site is here.

$15 for 48 hours, or $50 for 30 days

I went to the toyota site and it worked great for the 2000 3.4 but the 10-94 3.0 I could'nt find the overall wiring diagram. I found that the two plugs i need pinned is the C1 and C3. What is the chance that someone here has those and could e-mail or post them. Any help would be great.
