well the truck that i was first told was a 1996 taco turned out to be a 06 taco. other than not having a hole for the dipstick there is there any major issues anyone sees putting in the 3.4 auto w/ harness and ecm into a 93 p/u with a manual trans???? (the r150 is staying in the truck)

Are you sure it's an '06? Visually, the difference between the two generations is pretty obvious. If it is, you have a lot more work ahead of you because that engine is the 4.0 1GR-FE, not the 3.4. Basically, it is completely different than the 3.4 and will not be quite the plug & play swap that the 3.4 is. I believe it is quite a bit taller than the 3.4, so just getting it in the engine compartment will take some fabricating. I have yet to see a write-up on a 4.0 V6 swap, so much of this would be unchartered waters for you. Given the choice, the aluminum block 4.0 would be a nicer engine to swap into our trucks.

Post it for sale at TTORA. A low mileage tranny should sell pretty easy over there.

So im still trying to figure out my exhaust and i need to know what are the pros and cons of the Gibson GP601 and the JBA 2032SJT. I dont know if either will fit or not.
my guess is that the gibson wont fit with the steering column in the way but i still dont know about the JBA's so let me know what you guys think.

Also if you have an idea for the system itself let me know.
