Has anyone tried running a 3.4 with a 3.0 ECU?

Has anyone tried running a 3.4 with a 3.0 ECU?

I'm looking at swapping a 3.4 into my 90 pickup. I can get an engine but can't seem to find a 5spd ECU/harness.

SO, I was thinking I could use the sensors, ECU, etc from my 3.0 5spd.

Has anyone given it a shot?

Not possible. The 5VZ does not have a distributor nor a VAFM.

It probably won't work, and if you could somehow rig it up to work, it is not at all cost effective. I think you can get an adapter for an automatic ECU that adapts it over to a manual tranny. I think they have something like that, or just order one from the dealer, or equivalent.
