HARRENSTEIN's 3.4 swap into '93 4runner
I "finished" my 3.4 swap a couple months ago and figured I would share some pictures.
Here is what I started with:

Old 3.0 with a bad connecting rod bearing:

New 3.4 with 111,000 miles:

New timing belt, water pump, valve cover gaskets, etc:

Paint! (Still holding up good)

Old Crossover:

New Crossover:

Engine in the truck:

New rims and tires:

Looks like a whole different 4runner:

I still need to finish up my EVAP stuff and battery tray. As well as get the OBDII port wired up.

I built my own crossover. I just ordered some 2" tubing with 180 degree bends and cut and pieced them together. I had new flanges cut where I work on the plasma table. The tubing is from Hearthrob Exhaust here in Minnesota. I did the same thing for the rest of my exhaust.

Thanks for the comments. I still have some cleaning up to do under the hood. I'll try to get more pictures of that and more details on how I did things when I can.
As for the crossover.. It is 2" merged into 2.5" with a 5"x11"x18" steel baffled muffler. It was a tight sqeeze getting the big muffler in there and keep it up high. Right now I have it ending just before the rear axle and it is a little louder in the truck then I want. I finally have the more tubing to get the exhaust to the rear and I know that will help a lot.
If anyone has questions I will try to help as much as possible.

Thanks. I love the tires myself. I dont get any road noise at all. Almost wishing I would have got 33's though.
I cleaned the block using a wire wheel that fit into a drill. Some of the tighter spots I had to use a die grinder and sanding wheel. Then used duplicolor engine paint.
And wouldn't ya know it... truck wouldnt start this morning. First real cold morning we've had so I'm not sure if that had something to do with it. It cranked and would fire every now and then but would not start. Then I noticed I had fuel that appeared to be leaking from between the manifold and crossover pipe flanges. I guess its time to get my OBDII port hooked up and read some codes.

Well I dont know what was wrong with the truck but it started up Friday night and has been fine ever since. I'm guessing that I had or still have a loose wire somewhere. Got my OBDII port wired up as well and no codes and the datastream seemed to check out good.

If I had one piece of advice, and it's a little like closing the barn door after the horse gets out, but you should (have) put a flex joint on your crossover, somewhere between your two exhaust flanges. The expansion and contraction of your engine will be different from your crossover and you'll more than likely develop cracks near the flanges.
