first 3.4 swap need help plz.

i have a 2000 3.4 i just put in my 90 pickup std cab. i noticed it sits very high! i left on the 3.4 motor mounts. could that be it??

also:
my exuast is on the (passanger side) very close to my fuel line! has anyone else ran it withoutre-directing the fuel line?? any little tips help thanks guys.

you are going to have to change those motor mount back to the 3.0 ones. Just unbolt the entire 3.0 assembly and bolt to the 3.4.

You may have to grind one of the mounts as it will hit the water drain in the block if your block has one. See my thread if for pics.

I had to reroute my fuel line. Too close to the pipe for my comfort. I think that i have pics of that too. I think that I started a new line at the filter, took it on top of the frame rather than inside, and then out and up by where the brake union is behind the front passenger wheel.

I unbolted the bracket that holds the fuel line and brake lines, bent everything slightly and its now about 3 inches away from the exhaust. I'm not worried at that distance. The exhaust is about 3/4 inch away from the firewall and the paint shows no sign of heat damage.

sweet thanks alot guys!! or can i just change the exuast crossover to the driver side? they the same size's??

also:
i noticed my motor is differant inna few was then most it seems like... my exuast isnt cast iron headders they're aluminum . . .

If you are smogging it through the REF as you are in California, then you cannot legally change the crossover to the other is side. You cannot change anything from the way the motor came from its original form.

Both these threads cover it fairly well. Cadman's probably better than mine.

well i just want it to run ya know? smog is not an isue for me it wont it wont pass anyway hahah auto harness w. a 5speed. i have everything but the computer wich i cant find for some reason!!! and the ignitor. . . do i need the evap and all that crap?
