I went to the TIS web-site, but when searching for 1988 4Runner SR5, the response is "No documents found matching your search criteria."

Does anyone know another web-site, where I can download the materials, especially the wiring diagram? Or, if someone has it, could you please provie it to me?

TIS doesn't have stuff from pre 1990 as far as I know.
I have some 86 EWD's that might be helpful, PM me.
You can also buy the actual books reprinted on eBay though the one I got was missing the "overall diagram" which is pretty crucial.

 

I am looking for the exact same information. I am 3.4 swapping an 88 4runner right now. There are 2 versions of the 88 wiring/connectors/pinouts from what I can tell. I have found some info on other posts about which style I have but no specific pinouts for plugs. Here's a thread with scanned 88 EWD. It's a little blurry and most of the links to pdfs I've found are dead.
