Rapidshare won't allow me to login with the info that I had when I started my account for some reason. I posted it temporarily on one of my websites here:

http://www.flashpoint-dms.com/_notes...Runner_EWD.pdf

I don't know how long I can keep it up there, so grab it fast.

I'll try to see what I can do about a more permanent solution later.

I think Toyota didn't make V6 for 88 till past mid yr in to production. Maybe just look for 89 EWD. I have a feeling it's the same.

Actually incorrect on both parts. The V6 was offered immediately along with the I4 for both 4Runner and Pickup. The 89's EWD's from what I was able to find are completely different. Toyota changed over their wiring plugs, etc. somewhere during 88, so this is what adds to the confusion. You can have a late 88 with 89 style wiring/ecm or an early 88 with 87 style wiring/ecm.

You might be right about that. I'm just going by what I saw out there during that time. I didn't see a any V6 till about mid yr in So. Cal.
Putting 5VZ in there really increase the power to weight ratio on the first gen.
I'm wraping up my swap now.

ok im not sure anyone can help with this but... here goes. im not getting spark on the truck i picked awhile back, ive been through everything that pertains to spark...still nothing. so now im off to tracking down wires and just simply trying to see if someone cut something at somepoint, my problem is these diagrams look like spanish to me. i dont understand how i figure what the random wires sticking out of my harness go to. am i better off scrapin this thing?

Please don't do this...

You know very well how to start a thread, if you can't find one that relates to your issue to post in. This thread is not about explaining automotive wiring theory, and/or translating wiring diagramese, for you. This thread was started with the intent of providing easy access to what pages we've been able to gather together from the 88 truck & 4Runner wiring diagram. And it's best if it stays that way.

So...if you could please keep it in mind to try and whenever possible. That'd be great!

Thanks!
