A different kind of crossover question...

I attempted to search, but this is a bit different question than the many that are on here... Basically, when I got my motor from the junkyard, they had already removed it from the vehicle, and they were lazy, so instead of taking the downpipe flange (where the crossover comes down) they cut it off. I didnt have one. So I re-used the stock 3.4 piping and made my own crossover, but without having the flange, I just plumbed the passenger side straight into the driver side, much like the ORS crossover. The problem is, the stock pipe is like 2 inches (I believe the ORS is 2.5)....will this be too much restriction where these TWO 2in pipes go into ONE 2 inch pipe? Still seems better than the stock 3.0 design, but I dont want any heat backup or anything that could damage anything.

Well, I got the crossover done, engine is in, mounted, tranny, fuel lines, heater hoses, A/C, P/S, all that. So I am pretty much on to wiring....heres the hard part. I am no good at wiring and dont even know where to start. I believe I am going to need to get the 3.4 ECU plug that normally comes from the body harness of the 3.4 to the ECU right?
