AH! yes you are correct cadman, that isn't a air line, that is a coolant line on the back side. I do apologize!!! so it would be the line that runs to the smaller copper pipe on the back that is attached to the heater water line... Sorry about the mis-information!

are you talking about labeled 1 or 2 in the picture?..

i have #2 line running from where it is shown in the picture to the front of the motor to the front of the throttle body where the line that im asking about is inline with; enters front and exits where i was asking about the mystery line. if that makes sense haha..

What you have labeled as #1 are for the rear heater lines in a 4Runner. #2 is the coolant line that connects to the front side of the throttle body, and the line with the circle and red arrow pointing to it is the coolant line on the rear side (pictured) of the body.

These lines are definitely not that easy to trace once you install the engine.

yeah i knoww, especially when you got a engine cage around it to haha..
from the top of my head im still not really sure where the line i originally asked for goes cause i have searched all around the same area, but i guess ill just go down to the shop and check it out.

also i wasnt to sure where the second vacuum line from the idle up valve on the ps line goes, i sent one of them up to the T that comes off the front of the intake manifold, any idea where the second one goes?

One end goes to the fitting on the plenum box thats attached midway on the intake tube, and the other to the fitting on the front of the upper air chamber, what you are probably describing.

im running the aFe intake so im not sure which one it is, on my intake tube there is 2 barbs on the inside closest to the motor which i ran the big vacuum line from the intake tube to the evap box and then the other little one i ran to the line that comes from the back of the intake manifold, in between the intake manifold and out the front.. and then there's one spot on the back of the intake tube away from the motor..should i just put the other one there? (it didn't have a barb so i wasn't sure)

and i have seen some 3.4 with that T or the upper air chamber as you described have one line coming out of it and the other side of the T was capt off?..mine wasnt capt off but i did it anyways haha where does that go?..never buy your motor not fully complete!

The second fitting is also capped off on my engine.

In the pic you can see where the idle up hoses go, so that should give you an idea where you need to hook it up to your intake.

Oh its a illusion then, my afe intake has a port on the back and that's what that looked like haha and I was wondering where that may go. The online installation guide sucks ass so I wasn't sure.

I believe that you need a hose connecting picture 1 to picture 3.

Picture 2 i think goes to here.

Ok. I take back my other post. It appears that all those 3 you have posted go together.
There is a hose from picture 1 and then goes to a "Y" that splits to pictures 2 & 3.

I took off my intake boot to see it better this time.

I will see if there is a diagram in the Toyota epc I have later. That would give you part numbers as well.

Here you go. First is the diagram from the Toyota EPC on my PC.

Second is the diagram showing the Toyota part numbers from the EPC IF you want to use factory hoses. I am sure that you could get some vacuum lines, a "T" or "Y" and make that work. Depends on your budget and time frame I guess.

Sometimes the part has been superseded by another part number when you try to order online, or call a dealer.

And prices from Toyota of Dallas. They are usually cheaper by my local dealer even with shipping.

Im really confused now, i hooked everything up but maybe i misplaced a hose or wire but when i go to start it my fuel pump turns on and just stays on? (I thought it shuts off after building pressure) but here is where i figured was the problem..I can hear like a whistling like air or something in my fuel rail and also in what i have pointed at in the picture i hear the same noise. Any ideas?

Oh also the truck wont start, and seem to not be having spark either.

Thanks

There should be a vacuum line there. Check out the diagram above
