Clutch, fuel line issues, and mystery sensor
I am almost done with my 3.4 swap but I have a couple issues left. I have a '96 auto 3.4 going into a 88 5speed 3.0. The first problem is I cant get the clutch to bleed. Pedal goes straight to the floor. I have read that that means you have a bad master or slave but the clutch was fully functional pre swap. I have pumped the pedal around 10 times and I am not seeing any bubbles come out of the bleeder line. Any suggestions? I have also tried pushing in the rod on the slave cylinder while bleeding.
My next question is both of my fuel lines are female fittings. I have only read about this once and it didnt seem to apply to my swap. Any body have this problem? I thought I would just make an adapter with two male fittings but I cant find another male fitting (I pulled the old male fitting off my 3.0). Anybody know the threads on it? It is at least a 14. The guys at my local parts and hardware stores arent any help.
Third question is, what the h is this ribbed sensor?

I dont have a 2nd gen so I cant help on #2 and #3
On the clutch. It sounds like maybe you blew the guts out of the slave by pressing the pedal without having the rod secured in a clamp or mounted against the fork. If that happens, you will get the exact symptoms that you are describing. Don't ask how I know
What I did was mount the slave, open the bleeder, and just pump fluid through the master for about 20 pumps or so until it was pouring through the bleeder. Then start bleeding it.
Hope this helps
