I have a buddy of a buddy that can print QUALITY stickers and I am fairly decent at Adobe Illustrator and working with vector files.

If I could design a decent, factory looking sticker for the tailgate that said "TOYOTA 3.4 V6" (or whatever you wanted), would anyone be interested in one?

A few preliminary runs just to play around with the Illustrator since its been a while.






The cost to buy the film to print a few isnt worth it. I would need to print quite a few to make it worth it. I was thinking of charging $20 shipped and i could make them to your color font you want. I am not making a fortune here, a few bucks each as the material is expensive.

Body of sticker would be clear with your color font.

If you are interested let me know by replying to this so I can gauge if I want to even mess with it.

I thought that it would be kind of cool to have a sticker on the rear for the trails. A nice conversation starter if nothing else.

good idea, I myself am not a fan of stickers of any kind. I'm sure some people would dig it though. I know some people don't want strangers knowing they have the 3.4 swap.
I went to look at purchasing a 3.4 from a guy on craigs, then he mentioned his buddy had the swap done, and his truck was at the place i went to look at the engine. So the guy im looking to buy the engine from, tells his buddy to show me his swap, what it looks like ect. The guy with the swapped truck got all defensive, like i was going to jack his truck, why do you want to see it, ect. I told him, it was no big deal and that i didn't need to see it. Anyway, just a word to the wise i guess, good luck with the stickers.

 

Ya my son and I were discussing the same thing about the theft issue. Reminds me of guy s with the giant Alpine, or Rockford Fosgate stickers on their cars. Really just a sign that says follow me.

I am not a fan of sticker either but I thought that it would be kinda cool. I may have them print me a few and see. I aint trying to make any real money or start a sticker business; was just looing to offset some cost and see if anyone was interested.

I like playing with Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Adobe creative suites apps anyway so I figure something out

 

i was able to order the long sticker on the timing cover from the dealer and have that on my tailgate
