95 4Runner AT ECU Verification

I'm swapping a 97 4runner engine into a 95 4Runner AT.

I have read and reread that if I use a t100 ECU I will get correct shift points. Has anyone verified or know of someone verifying this.

I have an AT harness and AT computer and I know its a few more wires thanks.

It's been verified several times on this very forum. See: user "Ultimase" buildup

I swapped a 1998 T100 3.4 AT motor into my 1991 4runner with the stock 340h transmission. It works fine, with a little rewiring. The stock transmission is looking for I believe four inputs, the new wiring harness only supplies three. You can get the stock harness and plug from toyota. Then you can either splice this into the stock wiring, or drop the transmission pan and connect it directly to the solenoids. I was lazy and didn't feel like dumping fairly new transmission fluid or getting dirty so I just resoldered it.

I know the three inputs from the ecu control the shift solenoids, I believe the last input is to control shifting to L4.

Detailed here:

There is one thing that might make things somewhat complicated for you. My engine and ecu was from the same vehicle, heck it came connected when I picked it up still. I'm not experience in a swap with a motor and an ecu from different donors, but it might be a bit more work.

A lot of this information was found in reading a lot of old threads, but I also have to give credit to thefallman and vasinvictor as they were tremedous in helping.
