3.4 supercharger loosing about 2-3 lbs of boost after warming up.

Hey all. New to the site. Figured IDE look for answers here as I am beating my brains out. I have a 1990 pickup with a 3.4l v6 with a second gen trd super charger the thing runs like a beast until lit gets to operating temp and the thermostat opens. I am loosing aprox2-3 lbs of boost and was hoping someone matey had some pointers or advice. The tensioner is working good so I don't believe it is belt slippage. Truck still runs hard but I can tell it isn't right when I lay into the throttle and watch the vac/boost gauge. Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you running a 7th injector or meth injection?

90 pu with a 3.4 and a trd supercharger (not quite running right)

Hey all new to the site. I have a 1990 pu that I picked up for 1000$ already had the 3.4 with a super charger just didn't run (wiring). Got it running did a sas 529s and a bunch more. Since I got it running I noticed that from start up to opp. Temp I pull 6-7 lbs of boost and runs hard. After warm up it seems to loose 2-3 lbs of boost and does not have quite the power it should. Any suggestions or advice would be great... I know 22r s through and through but the 5vz is new to me. Also do not have scan tools to pull any codes. Could this be a vaccume issue (plugged wrong or hoses ran wrong?). Any advise is appreciated...

Neither one that I know of... New to the 5vzfe . Got the truck for 1k non running because of wiring issues. I have looked in to both the 7th inj. And the 6 inj. And pump upgrades from Urd... However I would like to know what's going on before I soak a thousand in it to have the same result.

What thermostat are you running? If it's still running the factory, you may try and get a 170° and see what that does

If I remember correct it's a 185. What would the 170 do as fas as benifits? Other than the obvious. I believe it is happening before even 170 degrees

You should scan it and see what's up. Lots of variables. Are your fuel trims right? What temp is the motor running at operating temp? You using the stock fuel pump? Are you running a wide band O2 sensor? Where's your intake sucking air from? Ect.....

Also, remember, the sc sits on top in the engine bay soaking up heat. No reason to post two threads with the same issue....

Factory pump and o2 s with a gutted cat and have checked engine and sc with temp gun and it has never been above 190-195. Also checked intake multiple times... Need to pull codes. Can some one with the tool pull the codes direct from the ECM? (Easier than driving the truck 80 mi)

Yes, if someone has a scanner they can see what's up.

I'd probably post this in the 95.5-2004 Section since you're dealing with a 5vz supercharged.

They can pull the codes from the ECM if I pull it out of the truck?

Well, I'd hope the OBD2 port is wired into your swap somewhere in order to pull codes

Sc

Your supercharger could be worn- once it's heating up, it's not able to make the same amount of boost due to case expansion.
