I'm still saying tps if you haven't swapped it yet.

had a similar problem on a jz motor. wouldnt rev over 3k. it ended up being the afm sensor. make sure its pointed the right way and the roght one. i recieved the wrong one with my swap that plugged in and tested fine but it was the wrong one. other than that i would say tps or wiring in between the two and the ecu.

That's what I suspected too...But he says that he's getting a reading from the AFM on the OBD diagnostic. If the afm isn't right it'll throw a CEL. I had a similar problem when I first got mine wired up.

So went on my trip nothing new. Threw the p1300 code again. So after some digging around and now my shift controller acting a bit strange I'm looking into Trans wiring. Here's what I've found:
My solenoids are wired.
My reverse lights don't work
I have a black wire with yellow stripe that is according to my diagrams the power for park neutral switch. Which I've noticed sends feedback to tcm/ecu separately from solenoids. That wire is just hanging off my II3 plug. Does it need power? Maybe it powers something else besides just park neutral switch? I'm wondering if because my solenoids are functioning and ecu doesn't seem feedback from switch it's going into limp mode possibly? Also on a seperate note my mrel wire isn't hooked to anything. I recall it's not necessary cause I'm using the pickup for the COR.

So update. All I did was power the park neutral switch which was the black yellow striped wire. I also fixed my reverse light and feed wire for tcm. Fired right up still cut out. Wtf. So I shifted the shifter through the gears and back to park. Now it works!!!! It solidly revs to about 4800ish and acts like it's bouncing off a real rev limiter. I pulled harness to re loom and tidy it up. Did exact same deal once I re plugged and started it again. Hopefully after a drive cycle or 2 it will just always work. 4800 seems like it's a little low but it's been forever since I had it in the runner runner. I think my Tacoma goes to 5500? It's also a 5spd though.

I had a similar issue with my 3.0. Turned out the gas tank rusted and clogged the fuel injectors with rust. Search my post and you will see the pics with tons of rust. Sounds very similar to your problems. Keep it simple . If you have fuel, spark, and compression you should have no issues. Does the exhaust smell rich by chance. Or is it possible you have a partial block in fuel line? Just thinking out loud.
