Dont cut any wires... You need to splice the new motors harness into your dash harness. Your gonna have to get the wiring diagrams for your exact two rigs the donor and your original. Go check out the motor swap section of this forum and do some searching and youll find alot of info on this swap. Dont rush into it cause it sounds like you have alot of homework to do first.

No, you touch nothing under the dash. When you pull the passenger side kick panel, you'll see the computer for your 3.0. When you remove it, there are probably three connectors that go into it, as well as two larger connectors that go to your engine.

The two larger connectors are your body harness. When you pull the 3.0, you're going to remove the wiring harness that is attached to the engine. This will be the three smaller connectors as well as the two larger ones that are attached to the engine itself. The two larger connectors that are inside the truck stay there.

These are the engine side connectors. You'll need to cut these off the engine harness and splice the 3.4 engine harness into them. The two matching plugs under your dash will then plug back into these when all is said and done.
