3.4 short block to long block

Found a remanufactured 3.4 with heads attached. If I have a full 3.0, could I use parts from that to finish the 3.4? Im in the infant stage of considering the swap and was just wondering if something like this was possible. Ive read the oil pan, and some other accessories like the a/c compressor and alternator will swap but what about say...the valve covers or timing belt and cover, etc?. If any experts could chime in I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Do yourself a favor and buy a full doner vehicle. You'll see this recommended over and over by those of us who have "been there done that".
