i have a 90 4runner with a 3.0 auto and want to do the 3.4 swap i have read a lot about it on here and pirate4x4. my questions are can i use my auto trans with the 3.4 if i get the ecu for the trans to match the 3.4 or do i need the auto that came with the 3.4 and ecu for that trans?(if i have to swap trans ill be going 5 sp man) also can i do away without the evap system where i dont have emissions where i live?

read on guys! Yes, you can use the 3.0 auto. Check DntsDad's build thread he did auto then switched to 5speed later.
