So im the mits of detrmining whether i am going to under take a 4.3 or a 3.4 swap, on thing i cant quite seem to find is the 3.4 swap moddifacations.

what do i have to change to tranny, torqe converter, and flywheel wise?

3.4 is a fairly straightforward swap

 

If manual->pull 3.slo + 3.4

If auto -> pull 3.slo and 340H + 3.4 and T100 340R

Some other issuse iv found to the swap is do or will i accually need a donor vehical? or can i pull 3.4 + auto tranny out of a yard, along with a cpu?

 

Having a donor vehicle is certainly handy, but not practicle for a lot of folks. If you just get your stuff from the yard, make sure that you get the ECU, the whole engine wiring harness, EVERYTHING attached to the engine, and the evap system.

That shoud cover close to all of the issues that you will encounter.
