3.4 donor complete harness swap to 88 T4R 22re
Been researching for the past couple of months about this 3.4 swap. As of last week I was given a rolled complete 2002 Tacoma 4x4 E-Locker truck for free. So as of now, I have no choice but to use what I have. My questions revolves around the wiring harness ONLY. Everything thing else is pretty straight forward and this site has offer more than enough info to do the swap.
Donor: 2002 Tacoma 4x4 SR5 3.4 Automatic IFS E-Locker
Recipient: 1988 Toyota 4Runner 22re Automatic IFS
I live in Ca and will be going through STATE BAR REF process.
My question, since I have the entire donor for the swap can I use the entire body harness and engine harness and swap INTO the 4Runner?
Of course I will delete the power windows, sunroof, power doors, power mirror, ABS, Climate controls, etc....
My train of thought, was on using the the ignition wires from the 2002 Tacoma and connect those wires to the 4Runner Ignition switch to power everything. In addition, keeping the Tacoma Cluster, 2 fuse box, cruise control, mini computers for 4WD, and etc.
Possibly also thinking about keeping the fuel tank and moving everything over keeping it SMOG legal.
Your help, thoughts, and comments are welcome and appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You might run into issues with the Imobilizer if you don't have the key for the 2002, I would wire in the entire dash and ignition to avoid that problem.
Ecu locks up till it see's the correct key in the ignition I'm sure there is a way around it and somebody else pipes in about it.
