3.0 Motor Mount 3.4 A/C Bracket Compatibility
Hi all,
I'm swapping 5VZ from a 1998 Runner into my 1990 Runner. The old 3.0 may be from a '89, based on some yellow pain pen markings on the flywheel (replacing one junkyard engine with another, lol). Today, when I was installing the 3.0 motor mounts on the 3.4, Drivers side went on fine, but on the passenger side, I noticed that I can only get 2 / 4 bolts mounted to the block. These are the top two bolts on the motor mount. The lower rear can't mount because there isn't a bolt hole. The lower front bolt hole is covered up by the AC compressor bracket (see below). Am I attaching the motor mount correctly? If I am, has anyone had this problem before, and is there a preferred way of dealing with it? I could see grinding the AC bracket to get access to the 3rd bolt hole. Thanks in advance!
